The inspiration for this blog title comes from a memoir by Edwidge Danticat, Brother, I’m Dying, where she tells about receiving a typewriter from her father to help her line up her words. In her story this meant straightening up the words on the line since she had a slant to her handwriting. These words kept coming back to me, hovering on the edge of my conscienceness, speaking to me about my desire to line up my own words, to get my thoughts, questions, ideas, and memories out of my head and onto the page. So, here they are, all lined up.
I also write about quilting over here and early childhood education over here.
